M5-70th Tank Battlion Casablanca, Morocco November 1942

This vehicle represents one of the first U.S. tanks to see combat in the European theatre in WWII. The lower hull is the Formations M5A1 conversion, backdated to the correct M5 configuration. The interior is from Verlinden. The turret has been modified from the Academy M3A1 kit. The suspension is from the AFV Club M3A3 kit. The P.E. is a mix of Aber, Eduard and scratch-built. The model was painted with Model Master enamels, and weathered with Polly-S acrylics. The markings are from Archer transfers and Third Hand decals.
