M-50 Sherman (Very Early), circa 1960

This model is of a very early Israeli M-50 Sherman. The initial batches of the M-50 had little more than a change in the main gun to the French CN 75-50. The Cummins Diesel engine and upgrade to the HVSS suspension came later. This particular model is based on an M4A4T chassis. The 'T' was a post war conversion where the unreliable Chrysler multi-bank engine was replaced withthe radial engine from the M4/M4A1. Note the engine deck and rear exhaust/air filters.

The base kit is the old MP Models M-50 with the Tasca suspension and RHPS tracks. Details came from the spares box and the figures are from Tamiya and Academy.
