203mm Howitzer

This is the ADV/Azimut resin/photo-etch kit that was finished in 1995. Shortly after I purchased this kit AFV Club came out with their 155 Long Tom. I built both kits simultaneously. This proved beneficial since details were not complete on both kits so what was missing on one could be duplicated on the other. Most details were made of Evergreen plastic and solder wire. The ADV/Azimut kit gives an option to make the 203 howitzer which this model represents. On-The-Mark rifling was added to the barrel.

Finishing was with Tamiya paints and Winsor/Newton watercolors.

This was actually a very nice kit to build and a bit more accurate to World War II over the AFV Club kit by having the correct wheels and tires for the period.
