This is the Tamiya Churchill straight front he box. I completed this project over a long weekend, and can honestly say that it is the most fun I've had building a kit to date. The fit of the kit was near perfect, with no filler being used at all. I've added only a wooden box to the rear deck (resin - from a sci-fi store in Downtown Halifax), the bed roll (tissue paper) on the side of the turret and the camo-netting (gauze bandages) in various places.
The main gun cover is made from tissue paper. Both the gun-cover and the bed-roll are in place to hide the results of a near-disasterous encounter with spilled testor's liquid cement (which happened during 'clean-up' before company was due). This 'cover-up' method is learned from the Graeme Davidson school of model accessorising.
Decals are from the kit as well, and the vehicle is "BEN NEVIS" of the Royal Scots Guards. Ground work is celluclay, static grass and Hudson/Allan leaf debris.
The kit was purchased from Simon Dery's traveling hobby shop, and these photos are courtesy of Mark Bannerman and his digital camera.
