This is the Tamiya kit built mainly from the box to represent an M41 of the NZ Army during the 1960-70s period. When I opended the box, I realised that the NZ Army used the M41A1, not the M41, so some cutting and adding of bits and pieces was in order. The main differences were the mudgaurds, tool kit, spool winder and the auxilary exhaust on the rear manifold. Thanksfully as I live nearby a couple of examples of this vehicle I was able to climb all over the real ting to get the info I needed!
The finish is mainly Tamiya Acrlics airbrushed, with a light drybrushing of oils and artists chalks on the rear for the exhaust and rust. The vehicle was finaly heavily dusted to represent an M41A1 on manouveres in Waiouru in the summer time when all the mud turns to dust! [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
