Wespe

This is Tamiya's new Wespe. It is almost out of the box, except I added sheet plastic under the hull to cover the sponson holes, photo etch lifting hooks, and wire tie-downs. My tie-downs are a little too big for scale but look much better than the little plastic bumps that Tamiya provides. The schwartzgrau is Tamiya German grey with a little blue added, and the stripes are Tamiya dark green. The suspension was over coated with a thinned mud color. The entire model was washed with burnt umber artists oil. All drybrushing was done with artist oils, which I highly recommend over enamel or acrylics, both of which dry too quickly.
