Tiger II

This old kit was completed in 1989. It’s Tamiya’s 1/16th scale Tiger II Henschel turret. It’s an R/C tank and still has some oversized screws to be able to gain access to the inner workings. The barrel has been broken twice (ran into parked cars) as well as missing rear fenders. I see Backyard Armor has some detail parts that I may some day add to this kit. I treated myself to this kit after I gained tenure for the school district where I teach.

Some details were added such as handles and conduit for Notek light. I also added screens on the back deck. Tamiya paints were used to finish the tank and Winsor/Newton oils for the tank commander. Weathering is natural from running the tank around outside.
