Skoda Type 952 Cabrio

This is Plus Models Skoda 952. What an excellent kit. I did have some problems with the doors fitting and had to add some plastic to fill in a rather large gap. I am assuming that it was because of how I cut them from the carrier blocks. I did however add a radiator from a 1/32nd Lincoln Towncar since it was very noticeable through the photo-etched grill.

There were 3 other German softskins that I submitted prior to the Skoda. All four were kind of a 'batch' of vehicles that I did at the same time. As the others this was painted with Tamiya and PollyScale acrylics. Weathering consisted of Vallejo acrylics, Winsor/Newton oil and watercolor paints, Gamblin pigments, Rustall, Bragdon rust and Hudson & Allen mud. Decals are from the kit. There are some accessories on the seats like the other models but it was just too difficult to photograph them under the top.

A kit with real classic lines. Near a 5 star rating in my opinion.
