Sherman III, Italy 1945

This model represents a mid-production Sherman (M4A2) in service with New Zealand forces in Italy. The base model is the Formation M4A2 conversion kit with the Academy Achilles as the donor kit. In addition, RHPS tracks were added. The figure are both from Verlinden and the base is a heavily modified (I added about three inches of additional road) Verlinden set as well. The camouflage scheme represents a late war layout and was applied using Model Master enamels. The weathering was done mainly with oils and a light coat of a buff coloured enamel.
