Model by Michael Bedard

I've always thought that this was a very interesting vehicle. I just finished the model yesterday (Dec 17, 2006) after working on it on and off since 1997.

Additions to the basic Italeri kit were the addition of an Eduard photo-etch set and Fruilmodel tracks. The tracks are the earlier style with the pins cast into the tracks and using a jig to press the ends together. With the help froma friend's reference book (Chris Barrett) I was able to detail the cab interior. New seats were made from epoxy putty and brass rod. Solder and Evergreen styrene shapes were used to detail the gear shifts and other areas. Stowage is from Italeri, Tamiya, Plus models, Cornerstone and Hudson & Allen. Finish was Tamiya and PollyScale paints and my usual weathering materials. A big thanks to 'Desert Al' for supplying the shipping markers for the doors. Mine fell apart.
