Here is my old Tamiya M60A2 Starship. Is one of my old shelf queens that been in the works for 2+ years. I decided to dress it up with the Academy dozer blade kit. The blade just comes with the blade assembly itself. I had to remove the left rear toolbox and rebuild the fender then scratch build a hydraulic reservoir and the hydraulic lines. Then I scratched and added the drivers blade release lever. The blade face texture is way over done in my opinion. I lowered the suspension some as I had heard somewhere that Tamiya had it wrong because the subject they used was without the engine pack so was riding high. I tried to make it a little lower in the front to compensate for the additional weight of the blade assembly. I also added plastic mesh to the bottom of the turret bussel and PE mesh screen to the sides. I used Mr Surfacer 500 for more cast texture. It sports AFV Club workable tracks, which I think are nice, but after painting and weathering I discovered they do not fit the drive sprocket well. Should have checked first! I lost the kit decals so I used some from an Italeri M47 kit. I used Model Master enamel to paint the MERDC summer scheme. Then washed with oils and MMP powder after that.
