M1A1 AIM

Built from the new Dragon kit. This it´s my first attempt into real multimedia kits. A truly impresseve model, quite detailed and very complex, not suitable for intermadiate modellers. It went together well, no major issues with fit, but the so called "Magic Tracks" are a pain to build and place. I guess they are not so magic.....

Paint was done with Tamiya enamel spray as primer, the I airbrushed the NATO 3 colour scheme with Vallejo Acrylics. The weathering process it´s the most complex I´ve ever attempted. First was hightlightened, then filters and washes with artist oils, after that chalk pastels and MIG Pigments and finally, Tamiya weathering stick.

Most of the stowage was taken from the spares box, home made soda boxes and kit´s MRE boxes. The starps are from scratch.
