Operation Varsity was the allied assault on the German city of Munster, April 1945. The diorama shows paratroopers of the US 17th Airborne division riding on the Churchill tank of the British 6th Guards Armored brigade.
The tank is from Tamiya with Fruilmodel tracks and Eduard exterior details. The FLAK 38 is a Tristar kit out of the box. The spent 20 mm shell are from Mission Models. Most of the figures came from Dragon kits, I just substituted some heads with Hornet and Firestorm resin ones. The angel statuette (bronze cast) was bought in a souvenir shop. Rubble was made of crushed plaster, and sandbags were sculpted from Milliput. All painting ws done with Vallejo acrylics and weathered with pastels.
