I am glad to show you my new model. This is the SdKfz 11 (late) of Hitlerjugend division, which took part in Ardennes offensive. The model is from AFV Club and was started a couple month ago for the Halftrack Contest.
The kit itself is quite good. But some aftermarket and scratcbuilding were needed. The photoetched parts are from Lion Roar. The excellent engine overlay which was in this PE set made me to find the engine. My choice was engine from the new Zvezda`s SdKfz 251 Ausf.B kit. It was little modified to put it in. The muffler is not good and I made a hole in it to make more realistic. The headlights era from Elf and the Notek is from MIG . The front wheels were changed by MIG wheels with more interesting pattern. The nippels on wheels were made from nickel tubes produced by Model-point. The tracks are workable from Friulmodel. The scrap in the body was taken from my stock. The canisters are from TANK, the fuel drums are Tamiya and MIG, StuG III wheel from CMK, cable - Karaya other scrap from Tamiya and Italeri.
The painting is: Tamiya acrylic base color with SIN industries filters. The washes with 502 oil paints. Chips to wood and metal with Tamia enamels. The transport table on the drivers door was stencilled. The dirt made with MIG pigments.
