Type 59B, Chinese People's Army, 1989

This is a model representing one of the tanks depicted in the famous Tiananmen picture, taken in 1989 uprising. It's the Trumpeter kit, much modified and with a lot of improvements added because the base kit is very poor in it; all the rear part of the turret is detailed because the Type 59B serving with the Chinese PA have an antennae attachment added to the DshKm stowage mountings. The tracks are coming from the excellent kit by Friulmodel; AA machinegun's cover and main gun's cover are made with paper and vinyl glue. I painted it in Lifecolors acrylics by airbrush, and then I weathered it with pastels powder and oil paints... all in all a nice kit to detail.
