This is a diroama depicting an M10 guarding the withdrawal of troops and supplies during the begining of the Battle of the Bulge, December 17th 1944. Inspired from a photo in the publication of US Tank Destoyers in Combat 1941-1945 by Steven Zaloga.
The M10 is the offering from Academy (with detail set), the truck from Tamiya, trailer from Italeri, building from Verlinden, and the figures from Warriors.
Ground work is celluclay with brown paint worked in, topped with ground foam and baking soda. The building was modified adding rafters and beams, window and door jambs, doors, and window panes (clear plastic sheet from some packaging).
Tarps were made from tissure and glue/water, tank gear and truck cargo is a mixture of Tamiya and Custom Dioramics. All painting and weathering was done with Testor enamels. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
