This is the Academy M4A2 Red Army. Amendments and improvements as follows: [i] I changed the tracks for AFV Club T-49, which I think were more common on Soviet Shermans, [ii] thinned down the light and periscope guards as best I could, [iii] added some more pronounced cast texture to the hull and turret, [iv] added some spare Formations tools with straps, and added lead foil straps to the others and [v] added some stowage on the deck. The crew are by MiniArt, and were excellent IMHO [my painting doesn't do them justice].
The tank was painted in Xtracrylics "Faded OD" and the numbers and slogans were painted on. The vehicle is featured in a colour profile in the Osprey "Sherman Medium Tank 1942-1945", and represents an M4A2 of the 9th Guards Tank Brigade in Hungary, 1945.
Doubtless I have made some howling errors which I hope all you Sherman experts will pick me up on -- mistakes help you improve as they say!! [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
