Jagdpanzer IV L/70A

This is the nice GasoLine 1/48 resin conversion for the Tamiya Pz IVJ (32518) kit. Although generally excellent, some corrections needed to be made to the GasoLine kit. These include correcting the glacis armor weld seams, replacing the undersized glacis MG armored port, reshaping the "Topfblende" gun mantlet and removing the Vorsatz-P close-in defense hard point. I superdetailed the kit throughout using styrene bits and PE leftovers.

I finished the kit similar to an abandoned one found near the village of Koberice in April of 1945 (in the east of present day Czech Republic) following "Operation Ostrava" near war's end.

The Tamiya and Gasoline kits were graciously provided by Winston of WingsNTreads. Modeller Milan Vins provided me the documentaion about the "Ostrava" Jagdpanzer IV L/70A.
