O forza lagunare...

This is an AAVP7A1 RAM/RS belonging to the Lagoon Infantry Regiment "Serenissima", based in Venice, North-East of italian peninsula. This unit is a specialty in Italian Army infantry, due to his amphibious capability: along with the Marine Batallion "San Marco", it forms the Marine Expeditionary Force of the italian armed forces, deployable worldwide within 24 hours. Differently from the "Serenissima" Rgt, that is an Army unit, the "San Marco" Btn, a Navy unit, is equipped with AAVP7A1s fitted with EAAK armour. Recently, both units have been deployed in Lebanon as part of the UN task force.

I used a Dragon kit, 1:72nd scale: a very good kit, with its strongpoint in the tracks, that are highly detailed. I painted it in Lifecolor acrilycs by airbrush, then I slightly weathered my model with pastel powders and oils.
