Ariete MBT

This is the result of my efforts in building up Trumpeter's MBT Ariete, 1:72nd scale. It depicts an Ariete MBT serving in 132nd Armoured Brigade "Ariete", 132nd Tank Regiment, 8th Tank Batallion (I'll spare you from read it in italian!). Tracks are good, but I had to replace all the handles with scratchbuilt ones and sand the main gun's fume extractor, because the one in the kit is like the old type and not like the actual. All in all a nice model to work with. It was painted with Lifecolor acrilycs by airbrush, then, as usual, weathered with pastel powders and oils. Its little base is entirely scratchbuilt, the grass is made out of an old brush and the red/white pickets are taken out of two needles.
