Sturmtiger

This kit is the Tamiya Sturm Tiger #35174. It is super detailed with various photo etched parts from Aber and Eduard. The model features a complete interior from Royal Models, and many parts scratched built from styrene plastic card. The book from Ryton Tiger & Sturm Tiger in Detail, and a photo of the roof and loading mechanism from the book Encyclopedia of German Tanks was were used as reference. The tracks are from Model Kasten and are a great build. They go together very well, and are a complete kit by themselves.

This kit is highly recommended. The model has won five 1st place finishes in the W.W. II Axis "closed top/Open Top AFV's with interiors" categories in various IPMS events in the North Eastern USA, a best Armor/Military Vehicle at the IPMS Staten Island Con in 1997, and also a best theme "Best Cats" at the same show.
