Ardelt Waffentrager - Geschutzwagen 638/18 Sf mit 88cm Pak 43

This is the new Alan Waffentrager. It's actually quite good! Using the excellent article by Jens Frederiksen in AFV Modeller #7 as a reference, I found that I didn't have to add much in the way of detail. I used Tamiya parts for the headlamp and spare track holders, and a few bits of spare PE for tool clamps etc, and added a wire grab handle that was missing from the rear deck. For the rest I just tried to improve on the [slightly soft] kit parts where possible. The drivers station has quite a presentable interior for example, but the engine/transmission area to the side of it needs filling with something as you can see right into an empty space. I used some spare "engine" bits that hid the gap.

The crewman is by Tristar, and the Pak 43 rounds and cases are from the AFV Club set.
