This is a 1/12 scale Madagascar Pirate by Latorre Models. It’s a fantastically sculpted and resin cast piece. I know it isn’t modern military but it is still quite good.
Being a NFL Football fan I thought I would have a little fun with the guy. Instead of a pirate from the 1700s I decided to paint him as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. The Bucs colors of cadmium red, white, black and pewter were used through out. He was first under painted using Vallejo acrylics and finished using Winsor/Newton oil paints using a Paxton palette for the colors. I used Future floor wax for his eyes and tears. Tears? Well being a Green Bay Packers fan I titled the piece ‘Final – Green Bay 16 Tampa Bay 9’.
