MT-LBu based 1V14 Battery Command Vehicle, Soviet Union

Model by Jacques Duquette

1/35 Scale SP Designs Full Resin kit. Details added include headlight guards, hollowed out exhaust, "basket" around rear deck box, and modified PKM MG from DML kit. I also used a set of SKIF tracks from a 2S1 kit...really.

The 1V14 serves three roles that are seperate in the US Army: Forward Observer, Fire Direction Center, and Battery Commander's Track. This vehicle usually deploys with the unit being supported, much like the US M981 FIST-V although it has the ability to process calls for fire directly to the mortars/guns in its gun section.

Painted in Model Master Acrylic Dark Green with pre and post shading, tinted future, wet/dry pigments, and pastels. The "white face" marking is froma photo I have but I have been unable to tell if it is a invasion marking or if it is from war games, in which case it would be from the "Red" team.

Base is painted cobbleston taped to wood.
