T-62M m2005

Model by Jacques Duquette

1/35 Scale T-62M m2005 converted from a Tamiya kit using a SP Designs kit as well as SP Designs T-72 tracks and a SKIF KMT-6 Mineplow kit. Changes included: scratchbuilt headlight cage, scratchbuilt rear fuel can support brackets, fuel lines for for fender fuel cells, kleenex mantlet cover, and a Model Point barrel. Whew.

The T-62M m2005 was unveiled at IDEX 2005 (no, really?) It is a upgrade package designed to refurbish older T-62's by adding Kontact-5 level ERA (2nd Gen ERA), an AAMG, side skirts, and Smoke Grenade launchers. There is only 1 known prototype and no buyers so far.

Paint was Model Master Acrylic US Army/Marine Desert tan with an overcoat of Sand. Oil glazes and washes were used as well as wet/dry pigments and pastels. No markings as none have been shown.
