Tiger I Late - II - Schwer Panzer-Abteilung 503 - Normandy

The Kit: Tiger I Late of Academy 1/35.
The assambling of the parts is very good. No problems there.

Painting with Tamiya acrylics:
1.- I proceeded to paint with dark-yellow
a).- First camo with olive-green
b).- Second camo with dark-brown

* The tools were painted with metal gun of Humbrol
* Wooden box with brown of Humbrol
* Wheels with panzer grey of Tamiya and camo

Weathering:
* Washes with brown oils (using 502 Abteilung #080 Wash Brown) very diluted with turpentine spirit two times.
* Dots with oils (white, red, blue, siena toasted, siena natural) applied with clean turpentine spirit
* I applied brown pigments in the crevices and some parts of rear and front
* More pigments mixed with dark earth of Humbrol in sides of the chassis, mudguards and wheels
* Black pigments in the gun barrel
 
Version:
II - Schwer Panzer-Abteilung 503 tank I in Normandy. The Stab used irregular shape of hand painted Roman Numerals to identify tanks - No tactical symbol were used. I for the Unit Commander, II for his deputy, III for the Radio/intelligence officer. The Abteilung fought in Normandy (Caen Elboeuf and Rouen. The score for the period limited in Normandy was about 80 allied tanks
