Tiger I - 231 sPzAbt501

This is a Tamiya Tiger I Initial Product kit. The model represents 231 of sPzAbt 501 in North Africa. From the pictures I have, some Tiger Is of the 2nd company had shovel on the front glacis.231 seemed to have 2 added-on clasps and mid size of shovel. Here is the list of aftemarket prts used on this model.

1. TMD - Turret roof and front upper hull plate. Tow cables and eyes.
2. ModelKasten - Bosch headlights. The spare tracks are from their first generation of Tiger track set.
3. Clipper - barrel
4. Decal Star - bow mount MG cover
5. Academy - tracks, air intake messh.
6. Aber - clamps, jack
7. tasca - tail light from their German Vehicle Light set.
8. figures were from Verlinden, Tamiya and spared box.
9. Archer Fine Transfers - turret Numbers

The based colour is a mixed of Tamiya acrylic paints XF26, XF59 and XF57. The model was then weathered with pigments. There is no wash applied.
