DUKW in the Philippines

This is Italaerei’s DUKW in 1/35th scale. It was a real fun model to make. A long time ago I thought about getting the old Schmidt vac-u-form conversion for the DUKW but never did. Glad I put it off because the Italaerei kit is a lot easier to build than a vac-u-form.

Additions to the kit are Armory wheels and Eduard photo-etch set. There were a lot of other sources for many of the small details. Markings are Archer transfers to create a Philippine theater marked vehicle.

Finishing is my usual method of acrylic, watercolor and oil paints with a variety of weathering materials and techniques. If anyone is interested on how the model went together I could do a BLOG on building the kit.
