The vignette shows one of the desperate attacks of the US 28th infantry divisions (named "the blood bucket") in the battle of the Hurtgen forest in November, 1944. I used Nemrod and Platoon resin figures (two heads were substituted by Hornet and Alpine items). Tree is scratchbuilt, with addition of Voyager photoetched leafs. Figures painted with acrilycs, terrain and folliage with tempera paints. This diorama was much inspired by the movie "When Trumpets Fade".
