This is a M4A1 Sherman Mk II (Late) from A Sqn 3/4 County of London Yeomanry, 4th Armoured Brigade, NWE. It was built using the following:
Lower body from the Dragon M4A1
Turret from the Italeria M4 Marines kit, AA or Formation Blanket BoxSplit hatch with .50 cal unusual for the Brits.
Dragon Tracks with Duckbills
Sharp nose from Tamiya kit and cast wheels from???
Figures were, as best I can remember, from Warriors
Wings from Tamiya fenders that were sanded down, these were a fairly common feature on 4th Armoured Brigade Vehicles , a practice they brought with them from N Africa.
Stores, various bits from the spares box and periscope guards from garden wire.
I chose to model it with duckbills to fit a slightly later period as the tankers I wanted to use all had pixie suits
Like most of my kits it's almost done, I still needs some antenna and I might change the stowage sometime as there are better options around, than I had at the time of the build. I've still to add the tow cable.
