This image is a Korean war M16. The shields (scratch built) were a field invention, convenient since M16's were used more against infantry or soft skinned vehicles than against aircraft. The 1/35 kit is TAMIYA, and was finished with enamels, acrylic inks, and pastels. The model was awarded a 2nd prize in its category at the 1995 IPMS-Uruguay national yearly contest. (I'm an IPMS member since around 1998, when I took up modeling again.)
