The base kit is the Revell T-80UD (rebox of the Dragon kit). The lower hull details are both missing and incorrect so I simply covered them with a layer of mud. The roadwheels are too shallow but I added a lot of dust to hide that problem. The tracks are a resin set from Master Club.
The upper hull is OK dimensionally (length and width) but has some proportion problem that I couldn't figure out how to fix. I did use the excellent Eduard photoetch set for additional details. The tow cabels are from Accurate Armour and the fuel tank straps are made from sheet plastic.
The turret is from SP Designs with the commander's hatch ground out to about 1 inch with a Dremel tool. replaced all of the small hex bolts on the ERA with ones made from sheet plastic with a punch set. The barrel is from a Tamiya T-72. The SP Designs ERA is too wide and sticks over the side of the hull by almost 4mm on each side. So I adapted the kit ERA and added some details. The smoke discharger mounts are scratch built and the wiring is made from solder wire.
The stowage containers are from the Revell kit with Eduard photoetch as is the snorkel and the commanders hatch. The 12.7mm machine gun is from Blast Models with additional parts from the kit.
The model was finished using Model Master enamels with oil washes and some pigments for weathering. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
