Akuyaku Number One

This is Tasca Models' 1/72nd scale "Akuyaku Number One". The Akuyaku (Bad Boy) No.1 is a Japanese comic tank. It is crewed by pigs in uniform. When I saw it on HLJ, I knew I had to have one. The model itself is one of the best plastic kits I have ever built. No putty needed at all. Everything fits perfectly.
Imagine this kit in 1/35 and you will have a kit as big as the Dora gun. The BadBoy No.1 is an Autark fighting machine, a weapon system like a cruiser. It has everything, a lounge, a kitchen, radio compartment. The only addition I made was the little balcony on the rear and a Resicast lens for the searchlight. The tracks are of the rubber band type with the big tread blocks from styrene plastic glued on them with regular plastic glue. Painting was done with Tamiya acrylics. I could not resist to add the white Balkenkreuz.

I hope you like him. I will finish the twenty crew members including the cook and a little pet for a diorama base I am planning for this baby.

Best regards,
Frank
