U-5329 (Typ XXVII B5 Seehund), Jumuiden, February 1945

During several months I was going to build something different from armor but in my favorite 1/35 scale. The most suitable were midjets from Verlinden and I started the series of minisubs with Seehund. I decided to build U-5329 of Leutenant zur See Ulrich Muller which was photographed in Jumuiden in February 1945. I liked the beautiful dotted camouflage of this U-Boot. The model was built with slight conversion of the deckhouse for the maximum corresponding to the prototype.

The painting was made with Tamiya acrylics XF-24 and XF-19. Then the SIN filters for panzer grey vehicles were applied. Washing and rust - 502 Abt paints Wash Brown and Light Rust. The chips made with Vallejo acrylics. Markings are Microworld dry transfers.
