M7 Priest

This is a collage build of a Canadian M7 Priest based on the old Italeri kit. The model was completed just before the introduction of the Academy early version of the M7, (arrrrgh!!), so needless to say many changes were required. The tub and running gear are Academy, three piece transmission cover is Dragon, and an older limited Eduard photo-etch was used along with some scratch building. It was painted using Pollyscale acrylics with washes of acrylics and oils for weathering including pastel chalks. The vehicle represented is “The Wacky Seven” of the 55th Field Battery, 19th Field Regiment, RCA, Second Canadian Corps in Normandy July 1944.
