This is my first attempt at a 48th scale armour model. Was soo nice to build (Tamiya kit). It is built Out of the box. It has the markings of a 7th Armoured div. tank in france during Summer of 1944 (hence the dusty weathering).
I have tried to emulate colour photos of shermans with the light grey dusty lower half. And very sublte dry brushing for highlights at this scale. ALso I have used exclusively Tamiya acrylics thinned with laquer thinners as suggested by Mig in a thread on here somewhere - worked a treat! Oils were used for the washes. No enamels at all.
I may go back and more heavily weather with such things as oil stains and streaks - but I kinda like the dusty look and although its "clean" and not battle damaged, For the scale I am quite pleased. Your thoughts would be appreciated. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
