Willys MB Recce Jeep with Radio

This is Tamiya's Willys MB Jeep released in 1994 is a gem of kit. There's some simplification of detail, but overall it's a joy to build. For a contest at http://www.twenot-forums.nl I decided to add a radio to the vehicle. Here's a small breakdown of references and used bits. The radio came from the old US Gun and Mortar Team set. The mount is from Eduard. Resicast has several Jeep conversions, which include PE. I used this to add foot pedals and the dashboard support at the front.

The Jeep was painted in Vallejo Model Air Olive Drab. I used washes of Humbrol 72 and MIG pigments to do the weathering. Prior to painting, I added thin layer of mud to the underside using thinned, stippled Tamiya putty, see photo two. The Jeep was kept in sub assemblies to make painting easier, see photo five.
