I was going to build early Pz IV after Dragon announced their series of these vechicles. The panzer from 11th Pz. divizion which took part in Yugoslavian campaign was taken as a prototype.
I chose to downgrade DMLs vorpanzer (6301) kit to standard tank because it is better made than their previous ausf.E. The detailing of the kit is shocking, so many sprues in the kit. Three PE kits from Voyager are even more impressive.
First of all I had to cut off the side armor to change it by metal parts from Voyager. Then the interior CMK was adapted to the model. The turret interior of the kit is not bad, the PE makes it even much better. The MG barrels were replaced by ModelPoint barrels. Then the PE fenders were glued to the Hull. After that I added molten numbers to the trolleys and changed "ContinentaU" to "ContinentaL". The tracks are from Friulmodel. The muffler from Moskit was specially damaged. The headlights were changed by Elf production. The cable from Karaya and the cleaning rod is from Voyager. Finally Abers instruments, tanks canister and jacket from 5,45 were added.
The interior was painted Tamiyas XF-55. Chips - tamiya enamels and dirt with tamiya weathering sets.
The exterior XF-24. All the markings are stencilled. I dont use decals. Then two layers of Sin filters and washes with 502 Abt. paints. The chips are made with 502 too. After that model was drybrushed by grey 502 paint. The dust is made with MIG Europe dust pigments. The muffler is painted with pigments too.
The following kits were used:
Dragon 6301 - model
Voyager PE35079 -PE
Voyager PE35080 -fenders
Voyager PE35081 -armor
رجت 3012 -interior
