PBR Mk. III, Vietnam circa 1970

Call it an aquatic APC. This is the Tamiya kit with the Eduard photoetch and Tasca .50 cal MGs. The cabling around the lights and masts was made using solder wire. The stowage is from the kit along with some Verlinden items.

The bow gunner and the Captain driving the boat are the kit figures with replacement heads. The other three figures are from a Verlinden set.

The model was finished using Model Master enamels and oil washes.

The water was made using a product called Envirotek Light that's available at art supply stores. It was tinted using Tamiya acrylics. The surfaces texture was made using caulking (i.e. for your shower, etc) and the foam is made using the top of a brillo pad sponge.
