Universal Carrier Mk.I

This is the conversion of the Tamiya Universal Carrier from the Mk II to the earlier Mk I version using the Resicast conversion kit No 35.1200. Excellent little kit, very detailed and good to work with. I designated the vehicle as a carrier from 14th (Motor) Battalion Sherwood Foresters, 9th Armoured Brigade, 2nd New Zealand Division; setting around Oct/Nov 42.

Painted with White Ensign paints and weathered with Mig filters and pigments. I remodelled the figure to fit and added a Hornet head.

Stowage is from the Mk I Carrier stowage No I set 25.2302, again from Resicast, small items from the spares box and some scratch built webbing. SMLE are from the Ultracast set. Stretcher from Accurate Armour.

Lots of potential with this one.
