Staghound Mk.I

Model by Dave Williams

This is the Italeri Staghound Mk1 with extensive Resicast stowage. I made various minor improvements to the kit; weld seams, front stowage bars, new periscopes and covers to replace the "lumpy" originals, lead foil mudguards and so on. The "crushed" oil drum is not included in the Resicast set, but is a separate Resicast item.

The markings, by Bison, are for "Bambino", a Staghound Mk1 of the NZ Divisional Cavalry Regiment, Italy, 1944. This particular vehicle features in a couple of pics in Jeff Plowmans excellent book on the 2nd NZ Armoured Div in Italy [Vol 2], so I was able to replicate the markings and stowage configuration quite well.

Comments, queries, criticisms welcomed as always!

Cheers, Dave
