The base kit is the old Italeri Priest. I converted it to a mid-production version by adapting the Formations rounded transmission cover which had to be hollowed out. I also switched to the straight return roller bogies which were left overs from a Dragon Sherman and to them I added the Formations track skids and Dragon roadwheels. The idlers came from Formations and I made them adjustable to I could get the right tension on the tracks which are vinyl ones from a Tamiya Sherman.
The driver's compartment and transmission came from an old Verlinden Sherman interior set. I also used the excellent Eduard photoetch set for additional detail on the vehicle. The .50 cal MG is a resin set from Verlinden. Lastly, I redid most of the hull welding to improve it's look.
Most of the stowage is from a Blat Models set with a few additional items thrown in.
The trailer is an awesome item from Tiger models.
The large 'piles' of new and expended ammo come from the new Resicast set as does some of the loose items on the ground. The ammo in the Priest is the turned brass set from Armorscale. The ammo in the trailer is from Verlinden and the ammo tubes are from Tiger Models.
The figures in the Priest are two sets from Warriors. The three guys on the ground are from Alpine and Legneds.
The tree trunks are from Armand Bayardi and the ground work is mainly dirt from my back yard.
The whole thing was painted using Model Master enamels and weathered using oil washes and some pigments on the lower hull. [View discussion] [Discuss my model]
