57mm ATG

Italeri lists thier kit as an US 57mm ATG but in actuality it is a British 6-pounder (formely a Peerless/MAX kit). I redid the details on the gun shield along with thinning to make the US version. I replaced the gun barrel to the US version lenght with one that I turned myself. Many of the trailing arm details were changed to US configuration. Wheel segments (those half-moon spoked objects) were scratch-built and added. I used modified Peerless/MAX Dodge wheels with civilian tread tires (often seen on the gun) which were cast up by Randy Neely. PollyScale and Tamiya acrylics were used for painting the gun. Windsor-Newton oil paints were used for the washes and drybrushing.
