This is the 120mm Allied Soldier from Miniature Alliance's amazing new series of figures.
This represents my first attempt at the 120mm scale, and only my 3rd figure of any type.
The groundwork on the vignette base was scratched from putty wire and foil, and base coated in enamel, and finished with oil washes.
Flesh was done "The Bannerman Way" in Windsor-Newton oils and the uniform and gear was done in a combo of humbrols mixed with oils for longer working time. A sheen was added to the forhead, upper arms and chest to indicate sweat in the humid jungle, just after a rain storm.
Anyone wishing to try their hand at 120mm, should give this series a look - the detail is excellent, and the resin is perfectly cast with small, manageable plugs.
