M4A3 Sherman Tank Iwo Jima, 1945

This is a tank I put together to demonstrate to my history class how Shermans were modified in the field. It is an amalgam of the shermans used in the invasion of Iwo Jima. It is the Tamiya Kit built straight from the box. I then added the basswood stand off armor and stowage. Steve Zaloga's Osprey book proved very helpful in constructing this.
