Jagdpanther (early)

This is an early version Jagdpanther from Revell. It has individual tracks. I made the "tile" pattern zimmerit from model putty. It was my first (and so far only) attempt at zimmerit, and I think I pulled it off. Some if it was too thick to begin with, so there was a LOT of sanding done. Also the putty warped the upper hull, most likely the coat is thickest in the centre of the side plates, after the sanding is done. Good thing I had already glued it to the lower hull, otherwise it would have been an impossible fit. I used the decals that came with the kit, but painted into them (not a bad idea in general). Also, based on a picture of one jagdpanther, I added a "hit" to the left glacis. With hindsight the model could have done without it.
