GIAT T72 AUF1 155mm

While sorting my photos today I found a photograph my friend Christian Gurtner took years ago of one of his models (he since stopped modelling altogether). With references I gave him (photos of the real thing) he converted Dragon's T72 kit to a prototype self propelled gun built by French manufacturer GIAT Industries. The prototype was a proposal for the Indian Army who needed a 150mm SPG on T72 chassis. Christian Gurtner scratchbuilt the substantial modifications on the upper hull and fenders with plasticard. He then adapted the turret from Heller's AMX 30 AUF1 155mm howitzer kit. Nice photo don't you think?
