M1A1 Abrams

This is Tamiya's M1A1 Abrams. The model was 1st airbrushed with a coat of flat black the covered with coat of buff. The antenna was cut from thin brass wires the air recognition signal was made using tissue soaked in diluted white glue. Brown pastels were applied to the tank to create the dusty and slighlty dirty effect. A very diluted black wash was also added to the tank's recessed area as the buff coat was a little over done and the black base didn't show through. This is a model that i will use in my up coming desert storm diorama. Hope it turns out well ;o) will send the pics once the diorama is completed... Still waiting for my tank crew to arrive though.
