IS-II

This is the earlier version of the Soviet heavy tank (model 1943) with the stepped front. This heavy tank was intended to face the heaviest german tanks of the final stages of the war, such as the Tiger I and Kingtiger. It was armed with the 122mm A-19 gun. The model is from Dragon, built almost straight from the box while the figures are from Verlinden. The tank is finished to represent a vehicle in Budapest, Hungary, during late 1944.
