It's the Jagdpanzer V better known as JAGDPANTHER of early production.
This is an antitank unit made on basis to the chasis of Panther Ausf. G and the excelent 88 mm gun.
This is the tank No. "302", it carried the Assistant Commander of the Antitank Company No.3 in the Eastern front during the winter of 1944.
This weapon was recognized by the Allied as superior in performance and was esteemed, after the war, as a real masterpiece of the medium-class tanks.
Few units were produced: 384 in total (272 by MIAG and 112 by MNH).
This is the old Tamiya Mokei Plastic Models Co. no so good to build model, (it's the one with inside electric motor and 4 x 1,5 Volts batteries). Year 1969. The model was built straight of the box.
Laterly radio antenna and towing cables were changed by the excelent ones from MINIMECA, wooden support for jack by real wood one and periscopes glass were added.
It was my first and last experience with Tamiya's spray paints. Details were painted with Humbrol enamels.
